Quantitative analyst &
actuarial candidate.
I'm Ali Taqi. I work where statistics meets software — turning messy data into models, and models into things you can actually use. Below are six projects from my graduate and undergraduate work at Boston University and Reed College.
Selected Work
Six projects, end to end.
Statistics, probability, and machine-learning projects from my time at BU and Reed — each one links the full write-up and the code behind it.

About
A statistician who likes to build.
I'm an early-career actuary and quantitative analyst based in Vancouver, WA. I hold an M.A. in Statistics from Boston University and a B.A. in Mathematics from Reed College, and I've passed actuarial Exams P and FM — with MAS-I scheduled for July 2026.
My background is heavy on probability, statistical modeling, and communicating results, but I'm just as comfortable writing the code and building the pipeline. Most of what I make starts as a question and ends as something you can read, run, or click.
